Mike PeQueen CFA, CFP®

Mike PeQueen has more than 25 years in the investment profession and joined HighTower in 2012 as a Managing Director and Partner. Formerly, Mike was a Senior Vice President of Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch. Mike's focus is on high-level investment strategy as well as financial planning for his clients. He has counseled hundreds of clients during his career and is passionate about helping people achieve their financial goals. Mike is both a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a Certified Financial Planner®. He also earned a Master's Degree in Banking and Financial Services from Boston University. Mike is a regular contributor to CNBC and has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. 

Mike is also the co-founder and director of Dental Care International, a non-profit organization providing oral health care to the world's underserved in countries such as Sri Lanka, Ecuador, and Brazil. He also serves as a member of the board of Chamber Insurance and Benefits.

John Restrepo

Principal, RCG Economics

John is the Principal of the Las Vegas-based consulting firm RCG Economics. He directs all the firm’s economic and financial consulting activities. For eight years, John was the Director of Financial Advisory Services in Las Vegas for Coopers & Lybrand LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Before joining Coopers & Lybrand in 1990, he managed the Las Vegas office of Mountain West Research, a regional economics firm based in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to heading up Mountain West Research, John was the Chief Operating Officer of a 40-person regional planning and civil engineering firm based in New Orleans.

For 35 years, John has analyzed regional economic and real estate trends in a number of markets, including Nevada, Arizona, Southern California, Texas, and the Southeast U.S. John’s clients include some of the most prominent private and public organizations in Nevada concerned with development and growth.

John speaks regularly before a variety of business groups on a wide range of topics related to real estate, gaming and economic trends in Nevada. He has been quoted extensively in the local, regional and national media on real estate and economics issues facing Las Vegas, Nevada and the Western U.S. he has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Louisiana. He also holds a M.A. in Latin American Studies/Economics from Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge. John is the current Chair of the Nevada Mining Oversight and Accountability Commission, and a member of the board and former president (2008) of NAIOP of Southern Nevada. He is also a member of the Government Affairs Committee of the Metro Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, the Southern Nevada Water Authority Integrated Resources Planning Committee, and the Board of Vegas PBS. John also served as a former member (2008-2011) of the Nevada Economic Forum, where he served as Chairman for two years.
